Port Canaveral sets workshop on future plans The Canaveral Port Authority board of commissioners will meet in a strategic planning session Wednesday to examine the port's future.
   Port authority Chairman Tom Goodson will open the workshop at 9 a.m. and Chief Executive Stan Payne will deliver a brief state-of-the-port address, which will be followed up by the workshop until 2 p.m.
   The workshop will cover current projects and plans, and will look at the development of future plans, programs, projects and priorities, the port said in a statement. There will be no actions taken at the session, but topics discussed at the workshop will likely be on the agenda for future port commission meetings.
   The workshop will be held at the Canaveral Port Authority Headquarters Maritime Center, 445 Challenger Road, on the south side of Port Canaveral. The meeting is open to the public.
