Port employees honored at Tampa christenings

Port employees honored at Tampa christenings Seabulk Towing on Thursday held a twin vessel-christening ceremony for two new tractor tugs that will be deployed in Tampa Bay.
   The ceremony was held at the Tampa Port Authority Cruise Terminal 6, with Lorraine Gontarski — standing in for husband Joe Gontarski, special assistant to the executive director of Port Manatee — christening one tug. Betty Provenzano, who has been with the Port of Tampa for more than 35 years, christened the other.
   'We hope in some small way our recognition of these two port employees will bring a lasting memory of the appreciation that the port community has for them,' said Victor Davis, vice president of Seabulk Towing, Tampa.
