Port Everglades lands another six cruise vessels
Port Everglades, with its unusual market mix of cargo, cruise and petroleum product vessels, said it will see an increase of six cruise ships to the fleet calling the port this winter.
When the Caribbean cruise season begins this winter, Port Everglades will have 40 cruise ships from 15 cruise lines calling on a regular basis.
'Cruise lines customarily send their newest and most grand ships to Port Everglades to replace their older, smaller ships,' Port Everglades director Phillip Allen said. 'We look forward to introducing these new ships and their guests to our sunny South Florida hospitality.'
