Port Jersey Logistics opens new headquarters
Port Jersey Logistics has announced that its two principal units, Port Jersey Transportation and Tyler Distribution Centers, have joined together to form a consolidation hub in Cranbury, N.J. The cross-dock facility, which comprises 203,000 square feet, is within two miles of Exit 8-A of the New Jersey Turnpike.
'All less-than-truckload shipments from our six warehouses, as well as pool trucks, will move through this location. It will enable us to combine shipments from more than one vendor into truckloads destined to a single receiver or geographic area,' said Denise Ciok, vice president of transportation for Port Jersey Transportation.
'Savings generated through this process will average 40 to 50 percent,' Ciok explained.
