Port of Auckland box volumes down    The port of Auckland, New Zealand reported its total container volumes down 1 percent for the 12-month period ending-Nov. 30 to 651,675 TEUs, compared to the comparable year-earlier period.
   The port said a decrease in transshipment cargo was responsible for the total decrease. In November, the port witnessed a 27 percent decrease in transshipment volumes compared to the same month last year. As a result, total volumes for November were down 6 percent, despite full import and export container volumes both increasing 3 percent.
   “A shortage of ships on some Pacific Island routes had reduced transships over Auckland during the month,” the port said in a statement.
