ATC's parent company, General Port Services, paved 10 new acres at the terminal to increase capacity. The facility opened in 2000.
'We are expanding at the right time,' said Rob Adams, president of General Port Services. 'We have invested in the terminal here at the Port of Baltimore because we continue to attract the cargo and want to remain an asset to both shippers and the port.'
The expansion cost is $1.9 million, company officials said.
