The South Carolina State Ports Authority's board on Wednesday approved the purchase of two new dockside container cranes for its Columbus Street Terminal in the Port of Charleston.

The cranes were ordered from Paceco Corp. for $12.3 million and are to be delivered in about 16 months. Paceco is expected to subcontract with Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd. of Ulan, South Korea, for actual construction.
