In July, the port of Corpus Christi and Alimport signed a memorandum of understanding to open trade relations between Cuba and the U.S. port, and to increase purchases by Alimport of agricultural products under contracts with regional suppliers.
The port said it continues to work with Alimport on shipments of South Texas-based products such as cottons, grains and meats.
