Port of Houston promotes Guenther
The Port of Houston Authority (PHA) has promoted Roger Guenther to general manager, container operations.
Guenther joined the PHA in 1988 as assistant maintenance manager at PHA’s Barbours Cut Terminal. Most recently he was container facilities manager.
The PHA said Guenther’s main responsibilities will be to review and recommend long-range planning of PHA’s container facilities, establish and maintain updated labor work rules, and supervise and coordinate the overall performance of facility maintenance and terminal operations at the PHA’s Barbours Cut, Bayport and Galveston terminals.
