Port of Jacksonville shuffles board positions

Port of Jacksonville shuffles board positions The Jacksonville Port Authority's board of directors elected new officers for fiscal year 2009 during its monthly meeting Monday.
   The seven-member board elects officers from its membership each year. The board members will remain the same, but their titles will be shuffled beginning Oct. 1.
   William C. Mason, president emeritus of Baptist Medical Center and the current treasurer of the port board, becomes its chairman.
   The current chairman, Ricardo Morales Jr., will continue to serve as a board member.
   David Kulik, former chief executive officer of the logistics company CEVA and chairman of ANJI-TNT, its Chinese automotive logistics joint venture with Shanghai Automotive Industries Corp., will become vice chairman of the port authority.
   Reginald Gaffney, CEO of Community Rehabilitation Center, will be secretary; entrepreneur L. Buck Fowler will be treasurer; and CSX Corp executive Andrew B. Fogarty will be a member. The seventh member of the board is appointed by Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton.
