Loaded container imports decreased 5.6 percent to 303,138 TEUs, while exports rose 8.4 percent to 121,191 TEUs. Empty containers in April were down 17 percent to 154,906 TEUs.
After the first four months of 2007, the total number of containers shipped through the Southern California port has dipped 1 percent to 2.25 million TEUs.
