PORT OF SAVANNAH TO PILOT NAVIS? WEBACCESS

PORT OF SAVANNAH TO PILOT NAVISÆ WEBACCESS    The Georgia Ports Authority's Port of Savannah has agreed to serve as a pilot port for Navis LLC's WebAccess, a Web-based application to provide real-time customer service functions to port users and business partners.
   The browser-based application allows members of the Port of Savannah's maritime community — including shipping lines, trucking companies, railroad operators, agents, consignees and government agencies — to access real-time container information and reports only at https://www.gaports.com , or at www.webaccess.gaports.com .
   Using the software's 'notify me' feature, users may request an automatic notification be sent via fax or e-mail, for certain container movements, such as vessel load or discharge, container stuffing or stripping, gate moves, and container availability. The user can also general container list reports and customize reports through filters and formatting.
   Qualified port users may obtain a password and I.D. for WebAccess via helpdesk@gaports.com .
