Ports America expected to win Seagirt concession
Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s office said Friday morning the Maryland Port Administration was expected to award a long-term lease to Ports America to run the Seagirt Marine Terminal at the Port of Baltimore.
The port’s board was meeting Friday morning and state officials were expected to issue a statement with details on the deal later in the day.
The port has been seeking a private partner to build a new 50-foot berth and make other investments at the terminal as well as increase container volumes at Seagirt. Ports America currently runs the terminal.
