The port signed the three-year agreement with Tri-City Regional Port District, a 1,200-acre facility in southwest Illinois that moves more than 3 million tons of cargo annually by barge, rail and truck.
The district, located in Granite City, Madison and Venice, Ill., said it has numerous properties available for lease and development including facilities for barges, rail and truck transfer; industrial use; and warehousing.
