Postal group signs deal with Amber Road

   The Kahala Posts Group (KPG), an alliance of 10 postal administrations around the world, has signed a deal with the global trade management solutions provider Amber Road aimed at increasing their competitiveness in the international delivery market.
   KPG member organizations include the Australian Postal Corp., China Post Group, Correos y Telégrafos SAE, Groupe La Poste, Hongkong Post, Japan Post Co., Ltd., Korea Post, Royal Mail Group, Ltd, Singapore Post Limited and the U.S. Postal Service.
   The agreement, signed with the International Post Corp. (IPC) Group that acts on behalf of KPG, will give the postal agencies to offer their customers additional trade tools and services, including screening for restricted parties, calculating total landed costs, identifying and producing global shipping documents, and performing trade compliance checks.
   The agreement also gives the postal groups access to visibility into product classification and landed cost.
   “Given the tremendous shipping volumes and global reach of KPG member organizations we are particularly proud to be affiliated with this project,” said John Preuninger, president of Amber Road. “It’s hard to imagine an organization with more dynamic global trade requirements than KPG. We look forward to bringing our deep global trade management experience, content and software to bear on this exciting initiative.”
