President renominates FMC Commissioners

President Obama has renominated Mario Cordero and Rebecca F. Dye as Federal Maritime Commissioners.

The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation favorably reported out both nominations in December after holding a hearing where both were interviewed, but the full Senate never got around to approving the appointments last year.
Cordero, an attorney, has been a member of the Long Beach harbor board for seven years and would be a newcomer to the FMC. Dye has been a commissioner since 2002.
