project44, McLeod Software launch integration solution

The integration solution gives McLeod PowerBroker users access to project44’s less-than-truckload API-based transportation solutions.    Logistics technology provider project44 and McLeod Software announced the launch of an integration solution that gives McLeod PowerBroker users access to project44’s less-than-truckload (LTL) application program interface (API)-based transportation solutions.
   Chicago-based project44 acts as an API hub for shippers, brokers, carriers and transportation management solution providers. McLeod, which is based out of Birmingham, Ala., provides transportation management software, primarily to carriers and freight brokers.
   API-based transactions now available within the PowerBroker interface include:
     • Automatically secure accurate carrier quotes, including base rates and accessorial charges, with limited manual intervention;
     • Access live lane-by-lane transit time calculations, including weekend and holidays;
     • And tender loads to and retrieve real-time shipment status updates from the connected LTL carriers.
   The project44 service offering is available in McLeod Software’s PowerBroker Version 16.2 and up.
