Prologis expands warehousing for Geodis

   Prologis, an industrial real estate developer, said it will operate more than 1 million square feet of warehousing for freight forwarder Geodis in Europe.
   Geodis’ lease is made up of a renewal for 749,000 square feet from two buildings at Prologis Park Evry in Evry Lisses, south of Paris, and another 266,000 square feet through a new lease in that park which is expected to be delivered in 2013.
   “The development of Geodis’ large state-of-the-art facility is indicative of the trend toward broader regional distribution networks, which in turn is driving demand for large modern buildings,” said Philip Dunne, managing director and president for Prologis Europe.
   Geodis said the new agreement will help it strengthen existing services for “fast moving consumer goods” in the retail and high-tech sectors.
