Pronto, Leadtec link in Australian, New Zealand

   Enterprise resource planning and business intelligence provider Pronto Software will partner with local data synchronization specialist Leadtec on a new supply chain application for Australian and New Zealand businesses.
   Leadtec has provided electronic-data-interchange (EDI) services, synchronized catalogues, and logistics applications for Australian businesses for more than 20 years.
   The deal will integrate Pronto services with Leadtec’s GS1net-certified product, Leadtec InSynch. InSynch aims to improve supply chain management by unifying data and integrating it into a single, manageable system. The application is focused on Australian and New Zealand companies doing business with each other.   
   “A partnership between Pronto and Leadtec represents the way Australian technology companies can work together to collaborate and deliver specialist software and services that have been tailored to meet the demands of this market,” said David Jackman, Pronto’s managing director.
   Leadtec’s solutions are certified by GS1 Australia, a not-for-profit organization and affiliate of GS1, an international body dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards for supply chains. GS1’s numbers and barcodes allow organizations to order, track, trace, deliver, and pay for goods across the supply chain, anywhere in the world.
   About 1 million companies in 145 countries use GS1 standards as part of their daily business, culminating in more than 5 billion scanning transactions a day.
