PSA eyeing Panama terminal
Panamanian officials said PSA International of Singapore has expressed interest in building a container terminal near the Pacific entrance to the canal.
According to reports by both Business News Americas and Deutsche Presse-Agentur, PSA is interested in developing the terminal on land that was formerly part of the Rodman U.S. Naval Base.
The proposed facility would be in addition to another terminal being planned near the Pacific entrance. PSA officials are slated to meet with members of the Panama Canal Authority to discuss the plans next week.
