PSA HNN picks Quintiq for equipment planning, workforce optimization
PSA Hesse-Noord Natie, which operates terminals in the European ports of Antwerp, Zeebrugge and Rotterdam, has contracted Dutch supply chain management services firm Quintiq to install an advance planning system for its workforce, container and cargo unloading and equipment movement.
Quintiq partner Ordina will implement the system at PSA HNN for the second half of 2008 when it will replace the existing Centralized Automated Dispatch System (CADS) system.
“The new system will provide operations management information as well as information on anticipated human resource shortage or surplus. This enables PSA HNN to adjust its planning when necessary,” PSA HNN said in a statement.
PSA HNN is a subsidiary of Singapore’s PSA group.
