Qatar Airways to add freight flights to Dallas

The airfreight carrier will utilize Boeing 777F freighter aircraft to fly the route two times per week from DFW Airport, a large market for air cargo, to Liege, Belgium.    Qatar Airways Cargo will launch a new freighter route connecting Dallas/Fort Worth to its global cargo network starting on Jan. 19, the airport authority announced.
   The airfreight carrier will utilize Boeing 777F freighter aircraft to fly the route two times per week from DFW to Liege, Belgium.
   With the arrival of Qatar Airways Cargo, DFW will have 18 air cargo carriers serving it.
   The new dedicated freighter service will more than double the cargo export capacity already provided by the existing Qatar Airways passenger flights originating at DFW, from 400 metric tons of export cargo capacity per month to 1,000 metric tons of exports per month. Qatar Airways Cargo will also be able to connect shippers from the DFW region to more than 150 destinations on the carrier’s global network.
