Qatar Airways to buy 777 freighter
Qatar Airways has ordered two 777 freighters from Boeing to take advantage of continued strong air cargo growth in the Middle East, the Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer said.
The airline previously ordered 20 777 passenger variants.
Doha, the capital of Qatar, is scheduled to open a new international airport in 2009 able to accommodate more than 750,000 tons of cargo per year.
