Radiant acquires Isla International

   Radiant Logistics, a third-party logistics services provider, announced it has completed the acquisition of Isla International.
   The transaction, which officially closed in December 2011, is valued at up to $15 million, plus an undisclosed amount related to closing working capital.
   Caltius Mezzanine provided $10 million in subordinated debt in support of the transaction. Including Isla’s contribution, Radiant projects an annualized run rate of $310 million in revenue and $13 million in EBITDA for the current year.
   Started in 1996, Isla specializes in both north- and south-bound cross-border transportation and logistics services to shippers involved in the automotive, appliance, electronics and consumer packaged goods industries. Isla, based in Laredo, Texas, was formerly a franchise of Unishippers Global Logistics. The company’s operating area covers several counties in southern Texas and all of Mexico, including the land ports of Laredo, Del Rio and Eagle Pass.
   Radiant has customers in more than 100 North American locations. In recent years, the firm has expanded through acquisitions, including its purchase of DBA Distribution Services last April.
