Railroad supporter to retire from House

Rep. Jack Quinn, R-N.Y., chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure railroad subcommittee, said Monday he will not seek re-election in November. Quinn, who has served almost 12 years in the House, has been a strong advocate for the railroad industry during his tenure on the committee.

Quinn, cited separation from his family in the Buffalo region as the main reason for his decision to retire.
