Redesigned SNAP to get industry test    The U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security is prepared to puts is redesigned on-line export license application system to a two-week industry test, starting April 3.
   The Simplified Network Application Process (SNAP) redesign includes on-line submission of supporting export license documentation, on-line messaging between the BIS licensing officer and exporter, and enhanced security.
   “The prototype should not be used to assess performance, because it does not run on a production hardware platform, does not include production data, and does not have a fully staffed help desk,” the agency said. “However, BIS is interested in feedback related not only to functionality and ease of use, but suggestions on training and implementation.”
