RedPrairie acquires LIS in Europe

RedPrairie Corp., a provider of supply chain management software, has acquired LIS, a European provider of supply chain execution services.

The combined companies will operate under the RedPrairie name with projected 2004 revenues of $130 million and projected pre-tax earnings of $23 million, RedPrairie said in a statement.

RedPrairie bought LIS from Permira Funds, a private equity company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Martin Hiscox, former chief executive officer of LIS, will continue with RedPrairie as manager for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He will report to John Jazwiec, who continues to head the expanded RedPrairie.

The acquisition gives RedPrairie, based in Waukesha, Wis., more than 600 employees in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and China.
