The report said the eastbound July volume was a record figure. Traffic from mainland China and Hong Kong to the United States rose 25 percent in July, but cargo volumes from Taiwan was down 21 percent in the same month, according to the report.
In the westbound direction, July container traffic from the United States rose 2 percent to about 297,000 TEUs, it added.
