Reports: Emirates in deal with TS Lines    Several publications report Wednesday that Emirates Shipping Line and TS Line are forming a strategic partnership.

   Vikas Khan, the founder of Emirates Shipping, who stepped down as chief executive earlier this year, is also reportedly relinquishing his board seat. TS Lines founder TS Chen will become chairman of Emirates Shipping.
   Reports in Seatrade Asia, Lloyds List and Fairplay the companies would continue to offer their services independently, retaining their brands.
   The articles quoted internal memos from the company. Attempts by American Shipper to confirm the announcements were unsuccessful. Calls to the Emirates office in Dubai were referred to its office in Hong Kong, which was closed as was TS Lines.
   Hong Kong-based TS Lines operates a network of services in Asia and has a fleet of about 27 ships, including three owned and 24 chartered vessels, with total capacity of 47,480 TEUs, according to the information service AXS Alphaliner, which said the Emirates fleet comprises eight chartered vessels with capacity of about 23,627 TEUs.
