Bloomberg on Friday quoted Frank Lu, chairman, and Robert Ho, president of Yang Ming, as saying China Ocean Shipping Group Co. and China Merchants Group Ltd., are both interested in buying 20 percent stakes in their company’s container terminals in Taiwan’s major port.
Last week Singapore’s Business Times said both companies as well as China Shipping Container Lines plan to invest in Kaohsiung port, quoting a Reuters interview with Shieh Ming-hui, director-general of the Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau.
