Michael’s will lease a 300,000-square-foot distribution center for handling seasonal merchandise for stores in the Southeast. The company had been using a 250,000-square-foot facility in Savannah.
Port of Jacksonville executive director Rick Ferrin said Jacksonville’s port and intermodal facilities played a major role in the company’s decision to relocate the facility.
