On Jan. 9, the Hamburg-based company named two 4,250-TEU ships, 'Vicki Rickmers' and 'Maja Rickmers,' both part of a series of 20 vessels ordered from Dalian Shipbuilding.
On Jan. 12, the company named the 3,500-TEU 'Moni Rickmers,' built by Hyundai Mipo.
Rickmers said it already has eight-year fixed charter parties for all three vessels, which bring its fleet to 81 vessels with a total deadweight of more than 2.5 million tons. Rickmers has a further 40 vessels under construction.
