Roehl heads Beluga’s global sales

Roehl heads BelugaÆs global sales    German heavy-lift carrier Beluga Shipping has appointed Joerg Roehl as head of global sales.

   Roehl, 40, will lead both the Beluga sales team, as well as the company's global agent network. For 20 years, he has worked in key sales management positions for various marine companies.
   Roehl's appointment is part of an ongoing restructuring at Beluga.
   'Beluga like many others has been hit by overcapacities in the international cargo sector due to decreased cargo volumes,' said Roger Iliffe, interim chief executive officer at Belgua. 'The comprehensive restructuring process which has been launched will ensure that Beluga has the capital and cost structure to compete more effectively in the international shipping market and continue to provide industry leadership in terms of customer service and value added engineering services.'
