Roscher named as head of TSA at John Wayne Airport

   The U.S. Transportation Security Administration has named Kathleen Roscher federal security director for John Wayne Airport in Orange County.

   Roscher, who replaces Skip Williams as head TSA official at John Wayne, has served as assistant federal security director at San Francisco International Airport for the past three years. In this role, she acted as principal adviser to the SFO federal security director on compliance, enforcement and security programs.

   A 30-year veteran of the aviation industry, Roscher spent six years with the Federal Aviation Administration before joining the TSA. At the FAA she served in a number of positions including supervisory special agent and lead special agent/dangerous goods and cargo security. Prior to this, Roscher worked for 13 years at Northwest Airlines supervising the airline's transportation agents.
