Ryder System, Inc., a provider of transportation and supply chain management services, today announced that Michael F. Hilton, president and chief executive officer of Nordson Corp., has been elected to its board of directors, effective July 1, 2012.
Nordson, a $1.3 billion company, engineers, manufactures, and markets products and systems used for dispensing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials and other fluids, as well as their testing and inspection. Hilton has served in those positions at Nordson since joining the company in 2010.
Ryder has been expanding recently, especially in the area of food and related logistics, the company said. Last month it expanded its food packaging and distribution capability through enhancements at its facility in Beaver Dam, Wis., providing support for food manufacturers with frozen and refrigerated requirements.
