Ryder opens 2 natural gas fueling stations

   Ryder has opened natural gas filling stations in Fontana and Orange, Calif., steps in a larger push by the company to replace more than 1.5 gallons of diesel each year with the low-carbon alternative.
   The liquefied-to-compressed natural gas stations are outfitted with two compressed and one liquefied natural gas pump. The LNG and CNG pumps are available for large commercial vehicles, and a CNG pump will also be available for passenger vehicles.
   “The completion of these two LCNG fueling stations is a critical milestone demonstrating Ryder’s commitment to the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles,” Ryder’s Robert Sanchez said in a statement. “We are proud to make this investment in fueling infrastructure, which will further support the wider adoption of natural gas vehicles for commercial transportation.”
   According to Ryder, it has deployed more than 300 CNG and LNG vehicles to more than 40 carriers. – Jon Ross
