Ryder recognized for operations in Brazil
Miami-based Ryder System Inc. said Wednesday it has been awarded the 2006 Performance Award by Livre Mercado, a leading business publication in Brazil.
The publication's editors selected case studies in the categories of governmental, non-governmental, industrial, educational, and third-party. A panel of more than 300 business and community leaders then selected the best company in each category based on criteria including competitiveness, innovation and reputation. Ryder received the 2006 Performance Award for the efficiency of its transportation management operations in Brazil supporting global customers in the automotive, high-tech and consumer goods industries.
