Sachsenröder leaving DB Schenker Rail

   Karsten Sachsenröder, a member of the management board for European sales at DB Schenker Rail, will be leaving the company at the end of 2011 by mutual agreement, the company said Thursday.
   “He will step down from his management responsibilities at DB Schenker Rail, the rail freight division of Deutsche Bahn, at short notice,” the company said in a statement. “Until a successor for his responsibilities within the Management Board DB Schenker Rail has been nominated, Axel Marschall will assume Sachsenröders duties. Today Marschall acts as CEO DB Schenker Rail Automotive GmbH.”
   Sachsenröder joined Deutsche Bahn in 2004 and had been responsible for various management functions within the rail freight division of DB Group. In 2008 Sachsenröder was appointed member of the Management Board of DB Schenker Rail Germany responsible for sales. Since 2009 he had been responsible for European sales.
