Saddle Creek creates transport division

Saddle Creek creates transport division Lakeland-based Saddle Creek Corp. said Tuesday that it is establishing a transportation division within its overall operations.
   Saddle Creek Transportation Services has been formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Saddle Creek Corp.
   The company noted that while historically Saddle Creek Transportation has provided asset-based fleet services to its customers.
   “We found that our customers often had special projects or business surges that required transportation capabilities beyond our traditional scope,” said Mike DelBovo, senior vice president of Saddle Creek Transportation. “With Saddle Creek Transportation Services, we’ll be able to help them find additional capacity while increasing efficiency and controlling costs.”
