The new unit, Saddle Creek Transportation Services, is non-asset based and offers transportation services nationwide, including truckload, less-than-truckload, flatbed and consolidation services.
'We found that our customers often had special projects or business surges that required transportation capabilities beyond our traditional scope,' said Mike DelBovo, senior vice president of Saddle Creek
Transportation. 'With Saddle Creek Transportation Services, we’ll be able to help them find additional capacity while increasing efficiency and controlling costs.'
With the creation of the new division, Saddle Creek has added two new members to its management team: John Hahn as manager of operations, and John Lubrecht as director of business development for logistics.
Hahn was logistics manager at Sunco Carriers Inc., while Lubrecht was vice president of national accounts at Smithway Motor Xpress.
