   Takashi Saeki has been named president and chief executive officer of 'K' Line America, the Richmond, Va.-based subsidiary of Japanese ocean carrier 'K' Line.
   Saeki, who takes over July 1, will also retain his position as senior managing executive officer of the Tokyo based-parent company.
   Saeki replaces Toshio Suzuki, who held the position for seven years and has been named executive vice president of Century Distribution Systems, a buyer's consolidation service provider in the 'K' Line Group, also based in Richmond.
   Saeki joined 'K' Line in 1974, and is on his third stint with 'K' Line America. As president and CEO, he'll be responsible for all business activities for 'K' Line within North America, including containerships, dry bulk carriers, car carriers, LNG carriers, tankers, and heavy lift vessels.
