SAFMARINE COMPLETES NORTH AMERICA MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Safmarine has made management changes within the U.S. and North America
regional market.
Gulf & Atlantic Maritime Services Inc., Safmarine’s North America agent
representing SafBank Line Ltd., will be merged into Safmarine.
Ian Barclay, regional manager for Safmarine in Port Elizabeth, South
Africa, has been named North America regional executive, effective Oct. 5.
Capt. Robin E. Riley, president of Safmarine Inc. in North America, will
retire Dec. 31.
Brendan R. McCahill, president of Gulf & Atlantic for seven years, has
resigned.
Duncan Mackintosh has been named chief executive of SafBank Line Ltd. in
Capetown, South Africa, effective Oct. 5. He replaces Michael Very, who is also retiring
on Dec. 31.
Safmarine will maintain its North America headquarters in Iselin, N.J.
