Safmarine said the revised direct service will be introduced in the second quarter of 2005. Safmarine, Maersk Sealand and Mediterranean Shipping Co. have operated the “Safari” vessel-sharing agreement since it was last restructured in March 2002.
Safmarine said no final decisions have been made regarding the number and size of vessels to be deployed on its new Safari service.
