Safmarine names latest “L”-class ship

Safmarine names latest “L”-class ship

   Antwerp based-Safmarine Container Lines has named its latest “L”-class vessel built by the Odense shipyard in Denmark.

   The newbuilding was named “Safmarine Nomazwe” Nov. 20. The ship will enter the Europe/South Africa trade and has a length of 266 meters, a width of 37 meters and an officially stated capacity of 3,700 TEUs.

   Safmarine and the Odense shipyard are both owned by A.P. Moller.
