Saks Inc. picks FedEx companies for shipping services
Saks Inc., a department store retailer that operates Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises, has selected operating units of FedEx Corp. to handle the shipping for all Saks divisions.
The new multimodal pact will use FedEx Express for domestic, international and express freight services and FedEx Ground for ground and FedEx Home Delivery services.
The Saks agreement with FedEx Express and FedEx Ground includes shipments from vendors to Saks’ distribution centers, from distribution centers to stores, and to individual customers ordering on the Web or directly from stores.
Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises comprises 62 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 53 Saks Off 5th stores, and saksfifthavenue.com. The company also operates its Saks Department Store Group with 243 stores under such names as Parisian, Herberger’s, Carson Pirie Scott, Bergner’s, Boston Store, and 19 Libby Lu specialty stores.
