Saltzman named VP at MCST
Ira Saltzman has been named vice president of sales and marketing at MCST Preferred Transportation.
Headquartered in Jersey City, N.J., MCST is a national temperature-controlled logistics provider with major facilities in Jersey City; Raynham, Mass.; Miami; and Los Angeles.
The company serves the frozen and refrigerated foods industry and has a customer base in the global seafood industry.
The location in Jersey City services all major cities in the Northeast and the company specializes in inner city deliveries within Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington.
Saltzman joins MCST with more than 15 years experience in the logistics industry. At MCST he will be responsible for new business development, customer retention and strategic market forecasting.
Founded in 1979, MCST partnered with Preferred Freezer Services in 1990 to become its transportation arm through its national network of refrigerated warehouses.
MCST offers both truckload and less-than-truckload delivery, standard and overweight container drayage, as well as warehousing services.
