Samson to head N.Y.-N.J. port board

   New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie nominated David Samson to serve on the board of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

   Upon Senate confirmation, Christie said he would name Samson as chairman of the bi-state agency.

   The agency's chairman traditionally comes from New Jersey and its executive director from New York.

   Samson will replace Anthony R. Coscia who has served as port authority chairman since 2003.

   Samson is a founding member of the law firm of Wolff Samson. David Samson's 40-year career in private practice has included extensive experience in complex business and corporate litigation, administrative proceedings and government and regulatory affairs. From 2002-2003, he served as attorney general of the state of New Jersey.
