Sandler and Travis hires managing director for Mexico

   Sandler and Travis Trade Advisory Services has hired Claudia Medell'n Moreno as managing director of its new forming Mexico operation, STTAS de M'xico Servicios de Comercio Exterior, which will have an office in Mexico City.

   Medell'n has worked in international trade and customs in the Mexican public accounting area for more than 12 years, and has advised clients in free trade agreements, Mexican duty deferral programs, customs formalities and indirect taxes that apply upon importation into Mexico.

   STTAS is based in Miami. The announcement of the Mexico operations originated out of the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
