Avalon Risk Management said Tuesday it promoted Kevin Sarsfield to senior vice president for the southern division and international development.
The company also appointed Grant Goldsmith to vice president of business development for its southern division.
Sarsfield, based in Miami, will have responsibility for international expansion in Latin America, Australia, Europe and the Middle East.
Grant, who is based in Houston, will manage business development in Texas, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
As part of Grant’s appointment, Avalon acquired Overwatch, Inc., which specializes in high-risk insurance for U.S. government, United Nations, NATO and international commercial contractors working globally, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
