Saudia Cargo introduces dedicated Paris service

The airfreight carrier will begin twice weekly flights to Charles de Gaulle Airport May 22.    Saudi Airlines Cargo will introduce a new dedicated freighter service to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France starting May 22.
   According to a statement from the airline, the new service brings the number of destinations covered by its freighter network in France to 21.
   The service will fly twice a week, utilizing B747-400 air craft, and “will strengthen the airline’s airfreight presence within France, offering customers greater choice and flexibility when moving goods between Saudi Arabia and France,” said Saudia Cargo.
   Commercial VP Rainer Mueller said of the new service, “Our focus is to improve connectivity and provide a growing network of destinations and quality operations to our customers. We are committed to the French market which has seen a strong development for Saudi Airlines Cargo over the past years. Adding Paris as a freighter station to our network on top of our 12 weekly passenger flights will offer a lot of opportunities to the French forwarding industry as well as exporters in other countries who are looking for a direct freighter product.”
   Saudia Cargo operates a fleet of dedicated freighters, as well as selling the belly-capacity on its passenger aircraft.
